Dil Dosti Etc DVDRip

Movie Review:

Dil Dosti Etc is more of a character driven film rather than a plot driven one, there is no definite story but rather a number of incidents revolving around the characters are clubbed together. The film deals with a rich boy who prefers to play it low key; he belongs to a rich family but prefers to live a casual and aimless life in a Delhi University. His befriends a young gun from Bihar who knows exactly what he wants and goes after it, a go getter who is the complete opposite of him. The film revolves around the various encounters in these two character’s lives. However the film is not a glossy campus flick, it is in fact the opposite. The screenplay is too abrupt and the scenes just seem clubbed together very much like the protagonist without much aim. But it does manage to shed light on its two main characters and does so competently. However the pace is a dampener and the lack of story and excess introspection also seem to make this flick just passable. The film has been produced by Prakash Jha and the story has been written and directed by Manish Tiwary. The film stars youngsters like Imaad Shah as Apurv, Shreyas Talpade as Sanjay Mishra, Nikita Anand, Ishita Sharma, Smriti Mishra etc. The screenplay has been done by Pawan Sony.Apurv is a typical college guy and although he belongs to a rich family, he prefers not to flaunt it. He lives in the Delhi University college campus. He, like many college teens is aimless and casual about life. He is not Mr. Casanova or the college stud but nonetheless has his share of flings. Apurv befriends Sanjay who is the complete opposite of him, Sanjay is into campus politics, he knows what he wants and sets out after it. Apurv has a fling with a prostitute; however there seems to be more than meets the eye in their relationship. He also has a girlfriend, who is a young school girl. Then there is the wannabe model who seems drawn to Sanjay despite the fact that they are complete opposites etc. Sanjay also indulges in a bit of the campus politics. Friendships, affairs, love, lust, politics etc in the lives of these two young college boys. The film does not have a tangible storyline or plot and it merely seems like a few stray episodes in the life of any young college going student have been thrown together. Of course many college students may find a resemblance to these incidents and characters. The two main characters and their natures are brought forth quite well by the director. However the screenplay as well as the execution is unsatisfactory. The screenplay seems to just drag along, the pace is slow and even the execution by Manish Tiwary is not up to the mark. The script is poor as for most part of the film there is no objective shown to the encounters of the protagonists. The editing is also poor and several scenes have a rough edge to them which is clearly visible on-screen. There does not seem to be any particular flow of events or continuity maintained as scenes just change from one rapid issue to the next. The dialogues are fare as the rough language used is often heard in real life campuses. The cinematography is fare. Music does not really have too much of a place in the film, however it is passable. Imaad Shah is fare, but seems to be lacking in enthusiasm and conviction in his role. Shreyas Talpade gives a decent performance and manages to infuse energy into the film with his role. The girls are fare; Smriti Mishra is competent but should have had a stronger role. Ishita Sharma is just average as the school girl and Nikita Anand gives an average performance too.The film is no doubt limited to a certain segment, mainly college kids and that too for multiplex audiences. Dil, Dosti Etc’s screenplay is reflective of college kid’s lifestyle and the characters depicted are believable, however its script not having a concrete plot and the fairly average performances simply make the film a passable, just about average time-pass flick.

Vettiyadu Veliyadu---Kamalhassan,Jyothika

Movie Review:

Story

(Kamal Hassan) is an efficient and intelligent ACP. Some mysterious men kill Raghavan's colleague Anand Raj's (Prakash Raj) daughter. Serial killings persist and investigations reveal that there is a serial killer behind these murders. Raghavan is forced to leave for New York on this official work. The rest of the story is all about how he solves the mystery behind the killings and get hold of killers

Artists Performance
Kamal Hassan gives another stellar performance in this film with his exemplary acting. He looked tough and brought authenticity to his role. Kamalinee Mukherjee did a small role in the film and she is excellent. Jyothika is pretty good as the depressed woman. Prakash Raj is good. Salim Baig (Panda of Gharshana) did a vital role and he suited the character. Lev Gorn is very good as an NYPD cop.

Technical Departments:
story - screenplay - direction:
The basic storyline of this film resembles the story of Murder by Numbers (2002). The thread of two brilliant students committing serial killings and two cops chasing them is lifted from Murder by Numbers. Screenplay of the film is pretty good. The director has gone into the finer details of the film while making it. The direction of the film is stylish and there is brilliance in shot-making. He followed Mani Ratnam's pattern while writing the romance thread for Kamal and Jyothika.

other departments:
Music is nice and picturization is good. Cinematography by Ravi Varman is excellent. Editing by Anthony deserves a special mention. The way he uses diffusion and color transition in the first song is good. Dialogues by Dasarath (Santosham movie director) deserves a special mention. Stunts by Siva are neat. Production values are good.Analysis:
The first half of the film is very good. The second half drags a bit because there is not much of story remains once the identity of killers is revealed. Director handled the romance in the film in a matured way. There is no problem of Tamil nativity in this film because the subject is typical Hollywood cop thriller type. The major plus points of the film are director's taking and Kamal Hassan. On the flipside, the serial killing concept of the film might become too serious for a general entertainment seeker. On a whole, Raghavan is a decent film which you can watch at leisure. Box office wise, the film has potential to do well in A centers.

Hello Premisthara(2007)

Movie Review:

Sairam Shankar, brother of Puri Jagannath has finally managed to come up with a good movie that establishes his credentials as an actor.

The film's strory is about two stepbrothers. Their grandfather Vijayakumar decides to keep them apart when they are very young, as they do not get along well. Bhanuchnader is the father of both. Aravind (Sairam Shankar) is employed in a mobile phone company and lives with mother and sister in Hyderabad.

Nandini (Sheela) is an anchor whom hosts a show on a private TC channel. The show is Hello Preimisthara and the hero meets her on the how and they both slowly fall in love. Just when everything is going smoothly, the second hero Arjun (Sairam Shanakr) enters the scene,. As both Aravind and Arjun look very similar, the heroine mistakes one for the other and starts moving closely. Arjun also falls in love with Nandini as a result.Aravind is then engaged to Nandini.

Arjun is wild by nature. So he hatches a plot to kill his stepbrother so that he can marry Nandini. The rest of the story is predictable and in the end the hero Aravind marries Nandini and with this the film ends on a happy note.

Sairam Shanakar as Aravind and Arjun has come up with a decent performance. He has improved a lot from his earlier films. But he still has a long away to go before he can establish himself a true actor.

Sheela looks glamorous but her role does not give her too much of a chance toe perform. The comedy is above average and Sunil, Ali regale the audience with their typical humour. Music is okay. Cinematography is good. The film manages to keep the image of Puri Jagannath the presenter and Dil Raju the producer intact.

The film has all the usual masala elements and can be watched once.

Movie Review:

Chandamama

Movie Review:

What’s it about?
Rangarao (Nagababu) is kind-hearted village head. For him, his daughter Mahalaskhmi (Kajal) is everything. The city-bred Mahalakshmi comes to their village and soon he arranges a marriage with the local boy Dorababu (Sivabalaji). Dorababu is educated farmer and gentleman. The twist in the tale is that Mahalakshmi has a flashback. She has a lover Kishore (Navadeep) in city. He is mischievous, plays pranks and indulges in practical jokes. One of his practical jokes makes Mahalakshmi believe that he has cheated her. But the story turns U-turn when she reveals her 'story' to Dorababu and sets a flurry of funny incidents.

Analysis:
Chandamama is very simple film and on the whole it is an any okay one. It is enjoyable for its comedy. If you excuse, the first 20 minutes, the film is enjoyable despite the fact that it offers nothing new. Director Krishnavamsi just rehashes his old films (Ninne Pelladutha and Murari) and familiar scenes in a film that has largely rural ambience. But it works due to comedy scenes especially Ahuthi Prasad's character is hilarious and able performances by both the heroes help further.
Some scenes are illogical and it doesn't go deep in to the characterization. Music is by par the weakest in Krishnavamsi's films so far.

Performances:
Ahuthi Prasad is the one character that is enjoyable in the film. In the role of a care-free rich Godavari guy, he carries it off convincingly and brings humor. He steals the show. Navadeep is also very likable. As a hyperactive and mischievous youth, he does at very ease and his Hyderabad accent is hilarious. Siva Balaji looks dignified. He does a kind of role that normally Venkatesh does. He gets all the sympathy. Kajal is appealing in modern dresses than village-belle kind of character. The chemistry between Navadeep and Kajal is excellent. Charmi seems to have dubbed her voice that is not suitable to her svelte figure. Sindhu Menon character is straight from many of KV's earlier films. Yet, she looks glamorous. Nagababu as father is good.
Technically, Prasad Murella work is appreciable. He captures Hampi locations beautifully. Production values are adequate. K M Radhakrishnan's music doesn't appeal.
Krishnvamsi's direction is neat and good but his story has nothing new. Picuterisation of Muddu
song is very creative.

Bottom-line:
On the whoe, Chandamama is okay film,. It provides some entertainment and the lead pair is cute. Navadeep, Shivabalaji and Ahuthi Prasad are major plus points. It has everything that associates with a Krishnavamsi film - two dozen or so actors appearing in a single frame, heroines overacting with emotions, hyperactive relationships, an antakshari program, through out film one function or the other happening and houses are decorated with thousands of coconuts, corn, oranges, or what not.

TULASI 2007 SINGLE RS LINK

Review:
The unit of Tulasi, a Victory Venkatesh starrer, expressed absolute happiness at the triumph of the film's audio. They held press meet at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad to share their views with feedback from public. Music director Devi Sri Prasad, director Boyapati Srinu, lyricist Bhaskarabatla Ravi Kumar and district-wide functionaries of Venkatesh Fans associations took part in the media briefing. Tulasi is made on Suresh Productions . Venky, Boyapati and Devi Sri teamed up for the first time together. They are confident of celebrating the triple platinum disc fete of the audio. Devi Sri Prasad said: "I am thankful to Venkatesh fans, the backbone of Venky's success. They made the audio a big hit. This is my first venture with Venkatesh and doing with him is my good luck. The fans played a major role in spreading the impact of the audio to every nook and corner of the state. They are also guarding the music from the clutches of audio piracy". Boyapati Srinu said: "Victory Venkatesh is known for his gentle nature. Venkatesh, Suresh Babu and Ramanaidu gave us full freedom in making of the movie. I assure the fans and general audiences - they are going to see a wonderful movie which shows Venkatesh in the best of his shades. Music by Devi Sri Prasad will rock. It has both melody and beats". Bhaskara Batla said: "I wrote most of the lyrics in a record time of two days or even less. Combination with Devi Sri Prasad and Boyapati Seenu is my luck. Earlier I worked for Boyapati's film Badra. This time, I have more closeness with him. I had put in my maximum effort in synchronizing the melody and beats. I was branded as a lyricist with mass touch. But this film will prove that I too have a big taste for the mass element. I thank Venkatesh fans for their stupendous work".

Saawariya soundtrack(51MB)

Music Review:
One Kapoor is good. Two Kapoors? Too good! In fact, it doesn't get better and bigger than this.

Rishi and Neetu Kapoor's son, Ranbir and Anil Kapoor's daughter, Sonam make their grand debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's opulent love story, Saawariya. To make matters even more starry, Salman Khan and Rani Mukerji pitch in as well.

Going by promos and rumours Saawariya, which releases on the same day (November 9) as another monster-size biggie, Om Shanti Om, is a Moulin Rouge (A Baz Luhrmann movie) meets White Nights (A Fyodor Dostoevsky short story) brand of spectacle. How true is that? Will Ranbir and Sonam live up to their illustrious Kapoor surname? Can Sanjay Leela Bhansali beat himself at the magnificence game? This Diwali, you get all the answers. Meanwhile here's a look at the soundtrack.
Khamoshi, HDDCS & Devdas. Sanjay Bhansali is known for his impeccable taste in music. Add to this the immense hype surrounding his latest offering ‘Saawariya’ and claims that the songs resulted from 2 years of hard work by debutant composer Monty Sharma. Expectations are bound to be sky high.

The album starts off with the title track ‘Saawariya’. Sung by new comer Shail Hada, this one’s all fun and frolic. With a contemporary feel, it is short and sweet.

Shaan takes over the mic with ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’. A candy floss number on qawwali base, it’s a decent hear.

Kunal Ganjawalla opens ‘Masha-Alla’ in his trade mark style. Shreya Ghosal makes her presence felt in the accompanying aalaaps. A simple slow number.

‘Thode Badmash’ reflects a girl’s thoughts about her loved one, with music credited to Bhansali. A good composition, sung superbly by Shreya Ghosal.

Parthiv Gohil makes a confident debut in ‘Yoon Shabnami’. This one begins slow but soon picks up tempo. One of the better tracks in the album.

‘Daras Bina Chain’ can be called the Theme music of Saawariya. The powerful vocals of Richa Sharma, Shail Hada & Parthiv Gohil make this one a good piece, though it has shades of Devdas theme.

Shreya returns for another solo, ‘Sawar Gayi’. Without much orchestration, this one rides on Shreya’s excellent rendition alone.

The first duet comes in the form of ‘Jaan-E-Jaan’ teaming Kunal & Shreya. Weighed down by heavy chorus, it has nothing to write home about.

‘Pari’ is yet another number by Kunal. Sung in his usual flamboyant style it’s an ordinary tune.

‘Chhabeela’ is in comparison a fast paced number. Reminiscent of some early 90’s songs, nothing’s special about this one. Alka Yagnik’s strained vocals do not help as wel

Om Shanti Om [MP3-VBR-320 KBPS] (10 MB)

Music Review:
Film: Om Shanti Om
Director: Farah Khan
Music Director: Vishal-Shekhar
Lyrics: Javed Akhtar
Producer: Gauri Khan
Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Shreyas Talpade, Arjun Rampal and Kirron Kher
Rating: 3/5
They are here to stay and blow everyone's mind off with their creative compositions! Vishal and Shekhar have been painting the town red with their latest hits Golmaal and Cash. After framing out some new age tracks for their latest, the duo has something novel in store for music lovers this time. With Om Shanti Om they go retro and sound 70's. Though the music stands out, the treatment is not very appealing. While some sound very good, others are so-so.
'

Ajab Si' is a complete song. Along with music relating to a certain epoch, lyrics by Vishal are first rate. Though he doesn't need to prove his adept skills, KK gets better by the day. His voice is balanced and does total justice to the melody. It sounds fabulous when the lyrics take off on the high notes. It's a harmonious treat!

'Deewangi' is musical and has a blend of both modern groove and classical beats. Though it doesn't create magic with its vocalization, Shaan certainly sounds the best of the lot. This song is sure to stir up a furor because of its picturesque which comprises a fleet of bigwigs from the industry. But not to forget the music sounds brilliant.

The initial dulcet sound of Main Agar Agar Kahoon is sure to take you back to the Mera Naam Joker days. It certainly sounds very 70's though not very original. Sonu Nigam's voice has all the charm a hero's voice needs. He is in his element and takes the song forward. Shreya Ghoshal hardly croons one bit, so nothing much to her credit. The end note is weaved well and will make the perfect number for a ball dancing session!
'Jag soona soona lage' is a touchy track sung by Richa Sharma and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. It can be slotted as one of those sad, teary eyed songs. Their grave and deep voice is sure to move everyone emotionally. Javed saab has penned beautiful and meaningful lyrics for this one. Though it has the traditional feel to it, the drum beats make it sound a wee bit different.
Dhoom Taana is one of those typical 'naino main sapna' type of a song; you either love it or hate it to the core! The music is strictly okay. The retro touch is very blatant but it's mixed with mod techniques. Abhijeet fits the bill and Shreya Ghoshal sounds pleasant too. Lyrics don't make a special difference.

You can't help but reminisce the Karz days after listening to Dastaan E Om Shanti Om. There's a striking resemblance between Ek Hasina Thi and the former. There is nothing originative about this track, except Shaan singing it in a stern manner. In bits the song loses consistency and pushes variation. We hope the movie is not a reflection of the blockbuster!

Dard E Disco's remix sounds a total mish-mash, surprisingly, since it's coming from DJ Aqueel's turn tables. It's too fast paced, one won't enjoy the beats. In contrast to this, Deewangi's remixed version has the gusto feel to it. It's peppy and full of energy.

The medley mix will win over the music lovers; Dhoom Tannana's remix is well packaged track and sounds 100 times better than the original. Jackie V has certainly done some brilliant mixing. Shocking but true, if originals don't work, remixed versions surely do wonders. Dastaan's remix has been done by DJ Nikhil, Chinapa, Zoheb and Nawed. It's got the touch of psychedelic trance which stands out from the others.

Heyy Babyy

Movie Review:

Three handsome Sydney bachelors--Arush, Tanmay and Al--are having the times of their lives. They flirt around, sleep around and have numerous "gorgeous" conquests to their credit. Arush's only grouse in life is that "there are so many women, so little time" since he's getting plenty of action in the nightclub where he works. If Tanmay has a blast playing Eddy teddy at kiddy parties and playing around with the yummy mummies, then Ali gambles for a living and grumbles that his biggest strength is his weakness for women. They suddenly find their dating and mating rituals irreparably destroyed when a dimpled little roommate lands up on their doorstep--complete with her crib, pacifier and dirty nappy. Arush, Tanmay and Al know a thing or two about women, but when it comes to babies, they're total zeroes and this bouncing bundle of joy is anything but joyous. But then Angel works her charm and before long, the three lecherous bachelors have been transformed into loving, caring fathers. But beautiful Esha will have none of it. She's known heartbreak once and will do anything to avenge that betrayal. And if it means breaking the hearts of three men who've finally discovered they possess one--then too bad!

Athidi (2007) Original Audio CD-Rip 320 KBPS(Single Link)

Athidi Audio Review !
1. Khabaddhar ani.. Sirivennela / Naveen - 3.75/5
Interesting composition interspersed with Hindi and English lyrics, it is a rousing call to eliminate evil. You can hear some of the beats from Athadu and Pokiri that made those album huge hits if you listen closely enough, but Mani still manages to keep it original. This is another title song that Mahesh’s fans will cheer. Mani does not skimp on the drums nor does he skimp on the Christian style chants.
2. Gona..Gona.. Chandrabose / Naveen, Rita - 3.75/5
Hip hop style with fast, peppy beats are the hallmark of this composition. Another instant chartbuster, this is going be another one to dance in the aisles for. The lyrics are again easy listening and fun to remember
3. Sathyam Emito... Sirivennala / Deepu, Usha - 4/5
The most lyrically profound song of the album penned by Sirivennela. Only he could come up with such philosophical poetry. One of the most interesting compositions in recent times, it is difficult to slot this song in a particular genre. You don’t come across such songs often. The slow music gels completely with the lyrics. Mahesh fans would have enjoyed Sahasam Swasaga in Okkadu. Similary, Satyam is another one to cherish.
4. Killadi koona.. Viswa / Karthik, Rita - 3.5/5
The starting piano tunes are fabulous and then Mani tunes into a catchy, peppy beat for this duet. A youthful composition in both music and lyrics, this will be an instant hit among the youth. Mani shows a lot of variation in the music for this song.
5. Rathrayina ok.. Bhaskarabhatla / Naveen, Anushka - 4/5
Middle eastern style music beats for this item song are enchanting and foot tapping. If you enjoyed Guru’s Maiyya, Maiyya, you will enjoy this song too. This is probably the most mass song of Mahesh ever lyrics wise.
6. Valla.. Valla... Chandrabose / Rahul Nambiar, Dharshana - 3.75/5
Fast beats, catchy tunes and a youthful tenor to this song make it another immediate hit. The lyrics are also easy to catch on to. This duet will be an instant chartbuster and one to dance in the aisles for.
OVERALL VERDICT
::This album is another chartbuster from Manisharma. There is not a single disappointing track and every track is one that fans will enjoy!!!

Movie Reviews:
[Two and a half stars out of five] Average from the word go;
. Supoorting cast is pretty Good and belgian kickboxing Champ Van Dam just isn't Schwarzenegger (that says a lot!) and movie night filming doesn't help! Props and fake US army set up looks like something out of a Return of the Living Dead set! Not really any- thing to right home about unless you're into Bill Goldberg, "Next stop, intensive care...", just like Van Dam and B.G.'s careers after this movie. Can you beleive Van Dam did (another) sequel?

Movie Review:
At first sight, a Movie about two rival Robo-Clans, the Autobots and the Decepticons, chasing an All-Powerful cube and descending upon Earth in an epic struggle, might sound far-fetched and may even prompt a wry smile or a chuckle. But once you see the movie, you are left wonderstruck (somewhat, maybe!) For this seemingly improbable and comic-book-fantasy tale is brought alive on screen in such a tremendous fashion that one can’t help but marvel at the flick. Its been more than a week since I’ve seen the movie but the sequences are still fresh in my memory…such was the impact of the movie’s powerful action sequences. Yeah, the fights were a bit un-trackable at times but that’s I guess is the beauty of it!

Lagaan

Movie Review:

LagaanCast: Aamir Khan, Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelly, Kulbhushan Kharbanda

the farmers inspite of no rain. The villager's pleas and protest is conveyed to the the sympathysing yet helpless Maharaja(Kulbhushan Kharbanda). A verbal duel commences between the hot headed villager Bhuvan(Aamir Khan) and the British Captain Russel . This leads to a challenge of Cricket match between the vilagers and the Britishers. The condition is, if the villagers win the match, they will be exempted from taxes(Lagaan)for 3 years, and if they lose it they will have to pay triple. Now, the problem is teaching the rural group a match like cricket which is an entirely new game for them.
Miss.Elizabeth(Rachel Shelly), comes to their rescue and gets a cleansweep seeing Bhuvan whereas Bhuvan is already in love with Gauri(Gracy Singh. Bhuvan the ever optimist young man has hardly any followers but slowly he makes them to realise their own potential and then forms an team of 11, ready to face the Britishers. This group is a wonderful mix of all religions,cast,color,creed..even a handicap spinner. Bhuvan makes them identify their potential and assures them that as a united group, they will succeed for sure. And they do...........
All happens in a span of 3 hour 40 minutes which is a bit too long for audiences who are used to a 3 hourly movie. Lagaan comprises of a highly sincere set of Indian actors who form the back drop of this village. The village looks quite realistic.Wonderful set of
clothes and settings, the ambience, the rustic language, the sheer energy, effort and honesty of the movie comes out throughout and maintains a continuty in the movie. The British Actors have done their job convincingly.Gracy Singh, as a hindi film actress is simply convincing and natural. Rachel Shelly is very
refreshing and induces a warmth to her role. The choreography and music are just too good. Aamir khan and the director Ashutosh Gowariker have done a brilliant job. A lumpsum of 25crores and a time span of 2years has been spent in producing this megahit. Lagaan can be termed to be excellent from all aspects. A must see for everyone.
